Cassie Brummitt is Teaching Associate in Film and Media at the University of Nottingham, UK. Her teaching and research interests revolve around the contemporary media industries, transmedia blockbuster franchising, and production studies. She also has several years’ experience working in cinema exhibition and organising film festivals. She has published ‘Pottermore: Transmedia Storytelling and Authorship in Harry Potter’ in The Midwest Quarterly (2016) and has a co-authored piece (with Kieran Sellars) in the edited collection Queerbaiting and Fandom, edited by Joseph Brennan (2019).
