Angelo Simone is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Padua in Italy. He was previously associate professor in the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences at TU Delft where he currently holds a part time appointment. He has authored over forty refereed journal articles in the field of computational mechanics, and also carried out research in fracture and damage mechanics, regularized continuum models, enriched finite element approximations, microstructural modeling, and battery modeling.
