K.M. Sundaram holds a Masters Degree from Andhra University in Nuclear Physics with Specialization in Theoretical Nuclear Physics. He joined ONGC India in 1976 as a Graduate Trainee. He has held several key positions in G&G before superannuating in 2012 as Executive Director (Geophysics) He has 19 years of experience in log data acquisition 17 years of experience in log data processing and interpretation of which 8 years of Deep Water Reservoir Characterization through logs forms a part. Post superannuation he worked with ONGC as Domain Expert Deep Water and as Consultant. Since 2015 he has been working with Tata Petrodyne Ltd as Mentor Petrophysicist and Consultant. He is also a member of ONGC Advisory Council. He has co-authored 28 technical papers on subjects ranging from Electrical Image Interpretation NMR Applications Geo-mechanics, inversion log data for mineralogy grain size and permeability, inversion of stoneley wave data for permeability. He has also guided eight MTech Dissertation Projects. Advanced Acoustic Techniques NMR Applications and Interpretation of Image Data continue to interest him.
