Mary Ngwebong Ngu was born in Santa, a village in Southern Cameroon. After graduating from high school, she pursued her education at Yaoundé University, where she studied Modern Letters. She obtained her BA and Maîtrise in English, and years later an MA in Information & Communication Sciences. By then she was already working as a reporter, desk editor, programme presenter and news anchor at Radio Cameroon which later became Cameroon Radio Television, CRTV. Mary enjoys writing. Apart from numerous articles published in local newspapers and foreign magazines, Mary has written two poetry collections, Earth, Breath & Touch: Inspirational Poems for the Beloved, and Escape from Prison. She is also the author of My Foolishness Prevails: How I became the Star of My Own Epic Drama, her memoir.
