Zinet Kemal, an immigrant from Ethiopia, made a successful career change from the legal field to the cybersecurity industry.Zinet earned a Masters of Science in Cybersecurity from Georgia Tech University.She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Law degree (LLB).Zinet is a multi-award-winning cybersecurity professional. She is a 2023 Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Honoree, a 2023 WomenWho Code Applaud Her Award in Security recipient, the winner of the 2022 SC Media Women in IT Security Cyber Advocate Award, and CyberScoop's 50 Most Inspiring and Up and Comer Award.Zinet works for a Fortune 500 organization as a Cloud Security Engineer. Prior to that, she worked in cybersecurity for state and local governments. She is also a board member for the non-profit organization, Black Girls in Cyber, on a mission to create industry awareness of diversity in cybersecurity, privacy, and STEM.While changing careers in the cybersecurity industry, Zinet learned that the industry is very broad. The field has so many domains and roles, and many adults who aspire to be in the field are unaware of the different career possibilities. The cybersecurity field needs many professionals, but there is a huge talent gap and a lack of diversity.Through this book, she hopes to inspire the younger generation to discover the various exciting roles available within the cybersecurity industry.Zinet Kemal is also an award-winning author of two other children's books titled, "Oh, No....
