Tia Haynes began using short-form poetry as a means of memoir while in her early years of motherhood. Her first book, leftover ribbon, chronicles those years and was shortlisted for the Touchstone Distinguished Books Award. She currently serves as the editor of Prune Juice: A Journal of English Senryu & Related Forms, and was featured in the Merit Book Award winning anthology New Resonance 11: Emerging Voices in English-Language Haiku.
