Jennifer Mayne won an international essay writing competition at aged 13. The prize was a trip to Disneyland where she met Walt Disney and presented him with a Waka Huia feather bowl from the children of New Zealand. She wrote as a freelance contributor for an international newspaper for several years before writing her first novel "Pilot's Wives" set in Hawaii where she lived and worked for many years. Born in New Zealand she has traveled throughout the world and has an extremely creative mind with an extensive business career behind her.
