Amy Franklin Andrews has always had a passion for writing and singing. She would often stay up all night reading any book that she could find. In school, Amy Franklin Andrews won a writing contest. At that moment, she realized that writing was a gift from God. After graduating from Southern Union State Junior College, Amy Franklin Andrews continued to write poems at various places: on her jobs, church anniversaries, and programs where she was asked to read her poetry.
