Ted Schroder studied at Canterbury University, New Zealand and Durham University, UK (Theology). He was John Stott's assistant (curate), and personal friend from 1967-2011. His public ministry lasted for 51 years. On moving to the USA he was invited by Stott to establish and chair the American branch of the Langham Foundation. Schroder's writing career started in 1963 with leading articles for his hometown daily newspaper, the Hokitika Guardian. Now in retirement he focuses on writing and mentoring. He is married to Antoinette, and they have two daughters and four grandchildren.
