C A Shepherd (1971- ) was born in Bellshill, Lanarkshire (Scotland), but grew up in Swansea, South Wales. She is a global expert in bisexual Christian identities. A Sociology lecturer and LGBT activist, she is the author of several academic and trade books. Her main subject areas are LGBT issues and faith, but she has also penned a trilogy of crime novels.
