GAIL GALLANT is a television writer and story-editor who has worked for the CBC, Discovery Channel, and History Television. Apparition, her first novel, draws on her lifelong interest in the supernatural; her passion for strong heroines, from Emma Woodhouse to Buffy the Vampire Slayer; and her first-hand experience of teenage alienation. She divides her time between an old (and likely haunted) farmhouse in Grey County, the setting for this novel, and London, England.
