Mende Smith is a widely published poet. This collection VERITAS Cabaret is a mix of poems and prose pieces collected from Lit magazines, chapbooks, and anthologies published across the world. She lived and wrote in Seattle and Los Angeles, and now she is tucked into her writing studio in Portland's beloved Hawthorne District. As an award-winning writer, aspiring desktop publisher at her own little press project: Emerald City Media. This odd year has brought much chaos and Smith's answer to this is to become enveloped in activism and prose -poetry, she calls her first love. Now, 47, her life is best seen through the eyes of her three children and her cat. For the rest of us, there are poems.
