Born and raised near the Pacific Ocean in California, Aline LaForge has spent her whole life in the West. As an archaeologist in the Southwest, Aline LaForge authored volumes of grey literature, technical reports, environmental documents, interpretive brochures and signs used for cultural resource management. The Department of Interior recognized Aline throughout her career for her work in protecting Native American heritage and preserving historic and prehistoric cultural sites. In retirement LaForge is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Acupressure Practitioner and served for three years on the Board of the Western Colorado Writer's Forum, providing their social media platform. She lives on a small farm in Colorado with her husband and enjoys organic gardening, growing hay, and raising goats and chickens.
