Originally from Manitoba, Rosemary graduated with a B.A. (English, French and Spanish) from the University of Manitoba before moving to Kingston, Ontario where she earned an M.A. in English literature from Queen's University. After working in France and studying in Spain, she spent almost 30 years as Chief of Correspondence and Protocol Advisor at Rideau Hall. In 2011, Queen Elizabeth appointed Rosemary to the Royal Victorian Order in recognition of her service to the monarchy.

Upon retirement, her deep interest in travel and culture led Rosemary to write three children's books, published as Les voyages de Caroline (2016), Le Monde de Rosemarie (2017) and Aloha, Hola et Salut de Caroline (2020).

Passionate about the life and culture of southern Europe, especially Spain, Rosemary enjoys preparing Mediterranean meals for her family and friends. She lives in Ottawa with her husband where they enjoy the company of their children and grandchildren.
