Henrietta Boggs MacGuire is a Costa Rican-American author, journalist, and activist. She was the first wife of Jos Figueres Ferrer and served as first lady of Costa Rica from 1948-1949 in the years immediately following the Costa Rican Civil War, the subject of the documentary _First Lady of the Revolution_. She lives in her native Alabama, where she recently celebrated her 100th birthday.
