Alison Clary and Jason Pappas met while studying at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia. They both grew up in large families where dogs were always present. Alison is a professional writer with a portfolio of more than one hundred published articles, and Jason manages his family's longstanding restaurant business. They live together in Ocean City, Maryland, with their senior rescue dog, Stanley.
