Skip Myers was born and raised in the Boise Basin. In the 1950s he left the area to find work, but returned to his beloved Idaho in 1986 to work as a logger. In 1992 he opened Donna's Place, a store and cafe in Idaho City. He and his wife Donna opened a second store in Placerville.
