Daniel V. Overturf received his BA in Photography in 1980 and MFA in Printmaking in 1983 from Southern Illinois University. He lived, taught, and worked in Nevada, New Mexico, Alberta, and Kansas before returning to his alma mater to teach photography in 1990. Currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Cinema and Photography at SIU, he is also President of the Photo Imaging Education Association and co-author of A River Through Illinois.
