James L. Peebles grew up in the small, rural, southern town of Margarettsville, North Carolina. He was born to an absent father and a mother who slaved in the sweltering Northampton County cotton fields to provide a meager living for the family. Growing up in depressed housing in the dilapidated South, no one in his family had much of an education or even thought about going to college, as just making ends meet day-to-day was a matter of survival. However, by getting on the personal J.O.U.R.N.E.Y. that God had for his life, James went on to receive a Master of Science Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from Park University where he graduated Cum Laude and Outstanding Graduate. He retired as a United States Army Sergeant First Class and Supreme Court Police Lieutenant. Today he is a youth sports coach, mentor, and inspirational speaker. In obedience to the Holy Spirit, James wrote this book to be an inspiration to help people get on their J.O.U.R.N.E.Y. to be all that God intended them to be.
