Mekani G. Collins is a 14-year-old honor roll student, author, poetry writer, and photographer. In 2018, he received the President's Award for Academic Excellence, Presidential Volunteer Service (Gold) Award, and Presidential Active Lifestyle Premium Award. He is the author of the Stinking Thinking Isn't Cool! character-building book series. His writings and poems have been published in Cricket magazine (April 2016 issue), Creative Communications anthology book A Celebration of Poets, and the Highlights Kid's Magazine's website Highlightskids.com. Collins received three Awards of Completion from Tidewater Community College for Med School for Teens, Code Breakers, and App Attack! Summer camps. Additionally, he continues his philanthropy by raising money in support of non-profit organizations. He enjoys reading, swimming, gaming, playing with remote control vehicles, and spending time with family and friends.
