Silvia Mori was born and lived in Florence, Italy. Her path with yoga began at Rishikesh, in India, 30 years ago, then she studied with different teachers and found her resonance with Sandra Sabatini and Mary Stewart. She widened her experience through the practice of Tai Chi Chuan first, and then with Chinese Medicine and its practices. Her studies in Shiatsu started in Italy and put her in touch with body/mind workers from many countries. Throughout her teaching she stressed the importance of auto-massage as a health practice. She taught both shiatsu and yoga, also through seminars in places close to nature to offer the chance to practice yoga fully in touch with the earth and the other elements. She continued to deepen her studies and practice through the retreats of Thich Nhat Hanh and other meditation traditions. Her research carried forward the integration of movement, breath and awareness.
She died in June, 2019.
