Katharine grew up in rural Norfolk and has grown her own vegetables intermittently since the age of nine. A keen home-cook since childhood forays into Italian food: the basics, she was an early organic vegetable box adopter and collects vintage cookbooks. Her idea of a good weekend is tracking down small producers and new food markets. She has worked as a non-fiction commissioning editor in publishing, most recently as Editorial Director at OUP, and is now teaches creative writing at Bath Spa University.
