My name is Jay Sims, and I love to write. Like most people, it took me a while to figure out my passion. I wanted to be a lawyer at one point, an actor, and even a singer believe it or not. Through all of those difficult years of attending school and figuring out what it was that made me smile-there was one thing that never changed. My imagination. I remember countless times in my adolescent years, I would just stare into space and come up with the most bizarre and insane scenarios of my everyday boring life, just to spice things up. I gave myself supernatural powers, gorgeous looks, and all the money in the world. I truly had fun and realized way too late in my life that creating stories was what I wanted to do. I live in Dallas, Texas, graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 2011, and then went off to Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi. But my college experience didn't last long. I made careless mistakes and was forced to return home. It was then that I started dedicating my free-time to creating Supernaturally Destined, which will be the first novel I self-publish. There were a number of reasons I finally decided to pursue my passion in writing. One of them was the wonderful novels I had the luxury of reading all throughout my high school years, authored by the fabulous Mark A. Roeder. His novels helped me come to terms with my sexuality and they inspired me to create my own stories and turn them into novels that both educate and entertain people. My genre of choice is Supernatural/Fantasy. I have been obsessed with all things magical ever since I was an itty bity toddler. I grew up watching things like Charmed, Bewitched, Sabrina: The Teenage Witch, Harry Potter, and many more awesome works that featured the most compelling supernatural beings I had ever seen. That's exactly what I want to create. Memorable magical characters that only exist in everyone's imagination. I hope you enjoy my works as much as I have enjoyed writing them!
