Tamara Murphy makes her authorial debut with her children's publication My First Filling. A dental hygienist since 1994, Tamara's experience ranges from pedodontics to chairside assistance, all of which provided her with the context for her first book. Children of all ages and capabilities can experience fear around dental visits. The tools, people, and processes may be new or unknown to them and can sometimes feel intimidating. Having helped many young people throughthis fear, Tamara presents My First Filling to children, adults, and dental professionals as a resource to demystify what's involved in dental visits, helping to instill a calm confidence in young dentist-goers everywhere.
