Jeanne Tetrault grew up on the east coast. After college she spent seven years homestead farming with another woman, raising dairy goats, sheep, and poultry. She belonged to the feminist collective which created Country Women magazine. Jeanne became an expert carpenter with home renovation business. She died in 2004 of melanoma.
