Hamid A. Naderi, P.E, C.B.O. is a Principal Staff Engineer with the International Code Council (ICC) where he is responsible for the research and development of technical resources and managing the development of multiple technical projects by expert authors. In addition, Mr. Naderi develops and presents building code, residential code and existing building code technical seminars nationally, and served as the secretariat to ICC¿s drafting committee for the development of the International Existing Building Code (IEBC). Prior to joining the ICC through the International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO) in 1995, he spent 12 years with the City of Carrollton, Texas serving in various technical and management capacities in plan review and field inspections divisions. He also has a broad range of experience in the areas of geotechnical investigation, construction materials testing and special inspections through his prior employment in the field of geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing. A graduate of the University of Texas in Civil Engineering and a licensed professional engineer, Mr. Naderi obtained his Master of Science Degree with an emphasis in structural engineering and has over 25 years of experience in various areas of building codes administration and training. He is a certified building official and holds three other certifications with the International Code Council in the areas of building inspection, plumbing and plan examination.
