Kate was born in a tiny town outside of Austin, TX. At fourteen, she was accepted to a creative writing summer program at Oxford University in England. After attending a creative arts boarding school Kate worked her way over to California to study creative writing at Chapman University. When not writing, she's teaching children to not fall off horses. SPELLED is the first novella in a series.
