Kim began writing stories and poems in school and dreamed of being a writer. After her daughter finished high school, Kim found time to attend writing conferences and workshops. Since that time, she has won many local and regional awards for her short stories, poetry, and essays. Her work has appeared in several anthologies and magazines. She has published a collection of poetry, A Rhyme for Every Season. Kim lives in central Arkansas with her husband. The couple share their home with three rescued pets, enjoy traveling, reading, and competing in writing contests. Toolshed Surprise is her first children's book.
