From Wikipedia: Vincent Scuro is an American author, columnist, screenwriter, composer, and artist.

Scuro was born to an Italian-American family in Jersey City, New Jersey. He grew up in Bergenfield, New Jersey and graduated from Bergenfield High School , Saint Peter's College (BA) and Fairleigh Dickinson University (MAT).

He played trumpet in the first McDonald's All-American High School Band (1967). His first book, Presenting the Marching Band, was published by in 1974. Scuro then wrote three science and nature books in the Dodd, Mead and Company Wonders series. He also co-authored eight books in the same series with Sigmund A. Lavine.

Scuro has written a column, “Here’s a Thought,” for The Southwest Orlando Bulletin since 1992. He is also a member of the Authors Guild.

His latest work is a novel, Rhinestoneland (2010).
