Born in New York City, Judith M. Newton spent her career in the field of special education. After retirement, she became a volunteer docent at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. She and her husband lived in Europe and the United States, finally settling in Santa Fe, New Mexico. There, Judith became a docent at the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum and was on the Board of Assistance Dogs of the West. Thanks to them, she became the proud owner of two service dogs, Chutney followed by Chablis.
