Stephen Most is a playwright and documentary storyteller. He has contributed to numerous documentary films, including Emmy Award winners Wonders of Nature and Promises and the Academy Award-nominated Berkeley in the Sixties. His plays Medicine Show, Watershed, and A Free Country dramatize events in Pacific Northwest history. He is the author of River of Renewal: Myth and History in the Klamath Basin (Oregon Historical Society and University of Washington Press, 2006) and Stories Make the World: Reflections on Storytelling and the Art of the Documentary (Berghahn Books, 2017). His documentary film River of Renewal won the "best documentary" award at the American Indian Film Festival in 2008.
