Daniel Cohan is an atmospheric scientist and an associate professor of environmental engineering at Rice University. He has written over 40 scientific publications, dozens of columns in popular media, and an elementary school curriculum about air pollution. A graduate of Harvard University and Georgia Tech, Dr. Cohan served as a Fulbright Scholar to Australia and was a recipient of a National Science Foundation CAREER award. Dr. Cohan has ridden out three hurricanes in Houston, but prefers calmer pastimes with his two kids.
