Laura Stewart Schmidt is a lifelong avid reader and writer. She spent several years working as a community education coordinator, starting reading clubs for middle-school students and encouraging parents to read to their preschoolers. Laura spent much of her childhood in southern Missouri, where there are plenty of abandoned buildings to explore. Unfortunately for her and her brothers, they never found a mystery. She lives near St. Louis, Missouri with her husband and dogs.
