Jens Heinke is a Research Fellow and doctoral candidate at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). He primarily works with the Lund-Potsdam-Jena dynamic global vegetation model (LPJ), both as a developer and analyst. His research is focussed on global change impacts on the water cycle with an emphasis on water resources, food production and livestock production. He also works on mapping and understanding the flows and linkages in the global food system, and has written 20 scientific papers and several research reports.
