Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh, Ph.D., is associated with the Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U.), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh., as a Research Officer. He obtained B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree from Purvanchal University, Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Dr. Singh has extensive research experience. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Botany, B.H.U., National Centre for Conservation and Utilization of Blue-Green Algae, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, and Institute of Physical Biology, University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic. With varied research interest in microbiology, he has published a wide range of research papers in national and international journals, and contributed many chapters in edited books. He has participated and presented his research work in various conferences. He has been guiding Ph.D. and M.D. students working under his supervision. Additionally, he is engaged in teaching students of B. Pharm.(Ay) at Institute of Medical Sciences, B.H.U.
