SÉVERINE GAUTHIER studied English at the University of Kent, and now teaches it in France. Passionate about children's literature and Anglo-Saxon history, and influenced by authors such as Roald Dahl and Shel Silverstein, she wrote her first comic scenarios: My Tree, with Thomas Labourot, and Aristide Brooding, with Jérémie Almanza. She collaborated with Labourot again on Washita (Dargaud) in 2009, and Garance (Delcourt) in 2010. In 2012, she began the series Quilt with Minikim (Dargaud). The second volume was released in 2013, when she also began a new series, Virginia, with Blary Benoít. In 2015, she published the first volume of Haida, The Immortal Whale with Yann Dégruel and Man Mountain with Amélie Fléchais (Delcourt).
