Cedric Derecho and Eric San Juan both grew up exploring the streets of historic Lakehurst, attending Manchester's schools, and developing a love for the region's surprisingly rich history. Derecho chronicled his observations in his book Fact or Fiction? A Small Town Life Revealed. San Juan is the author of books on the films of Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, and others, and he independently published a history of Lakehurst.
