Roger Conaway (PhD Bowling Green University; MA Stephen F Austin State University) is a professor of business at the Techologico de Monterrey (ITESM), campus San Luis Potosi, where he teaches courses in areas of international business, international negotiations, marketing communication, and entrepreneurship. He has previously taught for 20 years at The University of Texas at Tyler in the areas of organizational communication and business communication, including business ethics in the MBA program. He received the distinguished Pirtle Professorship and was the recipient of the Alpha Chi Outstanding Faculty Award. He co-chaired with Oliver Laasch the 77th international annual convention of the Association of Business Communication sustainability conference held in Hawaii in October 2012.
Dr. Conaway has also served as the president of the international Association for Business Communication from 2005 to 2009. His primary research interests include sustainability and business communication. He is the co-author of RESULTS-ORIENTED INTERVIEWING: PRINCIPLES, PRACTICES, PROCEDURES (1999) and COMMUNICATING GLOBALLY: INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS (2007) and COMMUNICATION IN RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS: STRATEGIES, CONCEPTS AND CASES, NEW YORK: BUSINESS EXPERT PRESS.
