Daneace Terry Jeffery is a Baltimore-based children's book author and teacher who has worked for 19 years in Howard County, MD. She has five grandchildren who are all bi-racial. She earned a B.A in English Literature from the University of Detroit Mercy and a M.S. in Literacy from Walden University. She believes it is very important for children of all nationalities to have positive role models regardless of their ethnic background. She wants her grandchildren to learn that being bi-racial does not make you different, but their diversity is to be celebrated and enhanced. Both families are unique and different, and together they strive to raise healthy well-adjusted children.
