Jerry Divis was raised in a small, rural community. His father taught him the value of honesty, hard work and discipline. His mother taught him unconditional love. In high school, he played basketball and baseball. He didn't receive trophies for attending practice, but for performance. He worked his way through college and attended Washington State University. He graduated with honors and a B.A. in Communications. Mr. Divis aspired to major in psychology, but abandoned the endeavor. He soon discovered psychology had serious shortcomings. Psychology was symptomatic, scientific, secular and soulless. Studying mental health/illness issues, values and principles were not only ignored, but distained by scholars. Disillusioned, he ventured into world religions and philosophy. Searching for treasures of truth, Mr. Divis uncovered more fool's gold than truth. Elaborate, philosophical skyscrapers were constructed upon sand, not concrete. Their basic premises could be refuted. World religions were like giant, jigsaw puzzles accidentally dropped upon the floor. Not only were some of the pieces missing, but the right order of truth was lost. Mr. Divis began to work on his first book, A New Thought, A New Way, A New Day. Mr. Divis has uncovered alarming facts about our educational system. After World War II, German Nazis cognitive experts and Hitler's propaganda pros fled to the United States, specifically the University of Chicago. Attorneys wanted to learn how to manipulate jurors and politicians (mostly attorneys) wanted to know how to manipulate the public to get elected. In 1956, Nazis cognitive experts reformed our educational system, not by teaching communist principles, but "conditioning" or practicing socialist principles in the classroom. Karl Marx believed the key to overthrowing capitalism was to "training the trainers." Today, we're seeing the results of those efforts and the fallacy of feelings, i.e. millennials, snowflakes, social unrest, opiod and suicide epidemics. His writings try to reverse the subconscious sabotaging of students by psychologists, counselors, teachers, parents and professors. Today, he likes self-reflection, prayer, writing, free will, friends, fishing, grabbing, dogs, sports, guns, gratitude, humor, humility, health, movies, 24 Hours, Veterans, whistle-blowers, music (Doo-Wop, 60s and country), children's laughter, a baby's smile, singing birds, lightning storms, garden-grown tomatoes, a good cup of coffee and glassblowing. He also enjoys traveling and going places like the kitchen, the bathroom, the bedroom and Holy Communion on Sunday. He dislikes arrogance, narcissism, dishonesty, deception, dependency, impulsiveness, entitlement, laziness, ignorance, self-pity, blood-sucking attorneys and mosquitoes, immunity, gag orders, false news, misinformation, censorship, the sexualization of children, racists, Rappers, Robert Mueller, Rod Rosenstein, John Podesta, Bob Creamer, James Comey, Loretta Lynch, Andrew Weissmann, John Podesta, Andrew McCabe, Eric Holder and George Soros to name a few.
