A.S. Singha, Ph.D. is a Professor of Polymer Chemistry of the Chemistry Department at the National Institute of Technology - Hamirpur (H.P.) India. At present he is serving as the Head of Chemistry Department as well as Registrar of the institute. He received his M.Sc., M. Phil. and Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Himachal Pradesh University Shimla (INDIA), in 1983. Dr. Singha serves on the Editorial Board of International Journal of Polymer Analysis and Characterization (Taylor & Francis) and ISST Journal of Applied Chemistry. He is the author of more than 200 international research publications and has a number of book chapters to his credits. He has wide experience in the field of natural fibers, polymers, composites, nanocomposites, hydrogels, removal of toxic heavy metal ions, drug delivery, controlled release of insecticides/pesticides etc. He has been associated with the institute as HOD (1996-1998; 2002-2006; 2009 onwards); Dean Academic (2002-07), Dean Planning & Development (2007-2009) and Registrar (2009 onward) during his stay in the institute.
