Jill Ostrowski has an undergraduate degree in journalism and is the author of two previous books: When I'm Asleep, I can Fly (2017) and Where the Rhythm Takes Us (2020). Fiona's Friend is a story inspired by her son, Owen, with whom she lives in Greendale, Wisconsin, along with her husband, Jared, and their two dogs, Roxy and Rudy.
