Todd Downs has more than 16 years' experience as a professional mechanic. He's built wheels and prepared bikes for professional competition and works with Volvo-Campagnolo Race Service. He also serves as an editor of MTB Journal and has been published in Dirt Rag magazine. He is the author of Bicycling Magazine's Illustrated Guide to Bicycle Maintenance. He lives in Austin, TX.
