Yakir Shoshani is a professor of physics working for many years on the philosophical foundations of the investigation of reality and cognition. He earned his BSc. and MSc. in mathematics and physics, and his PhD in theoretical nuclear physics in 1976. Since then he served as a professor of physics and philosophy and as a visiting scholar in several universities and colleges in Israel, UK, US and Canada. He also delivered 4 series of 13 lectures in the "Broadcasted University" in one of the leading radio channels in Israel. Professor Shoshani published numerous scientific publications in diverse fields and six books in philosophy in Hebrew. His wife, Irit, is a writer and a poet.
