James Hampton III was born and raised in Jackson, MS. He began seeking outlets for his short fiction in 2002, while he worked as a library technician at a medical library in New Orleans. He became a librarian in year 2005 after receiving an MLIS degree from Louisiana State University. Throughout his career as a librarian, James has continued to write and publish fiction. But in 2017 he entered the publishing business in earnest.
