Charlotte Gardner is an Anglo-Indian who spent several years in Darjeeling first at a Methodist Mission School, then as a wife and mother. At Kanpur, one of the venues at which she worked her first novel was created, 'A Handful of Dust', based on her family home 'Manota', followed by 'The Curse of Garibagh' culled from Kanpur experiences. However, writing was put on hold for a while as the demands of her job as CEO of a Tea Company at Nepal occupied most of her time. She is currently writing full time at Dehradun where she presently resides.
