Jan Krijff has combined his own experience with immigration from the Netherlands and his fascination with history (M.A. Hist.) by exploring the relations between the two countries. He has published two books: 100 Years Ago, Dutch immigration to Manitoba in 1893 and Een Aengenaeme Vrientschap, (An Amicable Friendship), a portrait of the friendly and special relations between Canada and the Netherlands.
