Alison G. Thompson is an Oxford, MS native and a graduate of the University of Mississippi and the University of Memphis, respectively. She developed her love for reading from her mother at a young age. There was always an Eric Jerome Dickey or a Terry McMillan book on her mother's nightstand or workbag. As Alison evolved, not only did she discover her passion for reading, but her teachers, Mrs. Miller and Dr. Lowe assisted her in finding her voice through writing and speaking.Alison is the owner and head creator of Greenline Creative, LLC. Their mission is to amplify the black voice and to hold space for the black protagonists. In 2021, Alison and her son, Lucas, co-authored their first book entitled, Super Lucas.Knowing the alarming literacy rates of black children, Alison is motivated to write and publish more books where black characters are the focal point.
