Reverend Donita Michelle Edwards was born in Norfolk, VA, to Reverends James and Delores Edwards, III. She was educated in the Chesapeake Public School System and completed the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Apprenticeship Program in Portsmouth, VA, where she obtained certification as a Journeyman Pipefitter Mechanic. Reverend Edwards is a graduate of Norfolk State University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She also earned a Master of Divinity Degree in Practical Theology from Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA. She was licensed to preach the Gospel in June 1999 and ordained in July 2008 by Reverend Dr. James Edwards, III, and New Rose of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA. In her professional life, she is employed as their Christian Learning Center Director. Reverend Donita is a woman of prayer and purpose. She recently published her first book entitled, "The Man You Are Trying to Marry Is Not Your Husband." In May 2013, she became founder of Birthright Kingdom Deliverance Ministries, Inc. - established to educate, encourage, partner and empower the Body of Christ through birthing healthy ministries and ministers, deliverance and releasing God's glory. In February 2014, she joined Mount Hermon Baptist Church, Norfolk, VA, under the pastorate of Reverend Steven A. Lewis. She serves as the Singles' Pastor. Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, she was inspired to create a website, www.Hisgrace4us.com where you can see more of her unique ministry. In addition, she can be heard on 1270AM every Saturday at 7-7:15am. Reverend Edwards resides in Chesapeake, VA, providing a Christian home for her two beautiful and God-sent daughters, Blake & Blaire.
