Atul Kumar completed his BSc from G.G.M. Science College, Jammu, India, and his MSc from the University of Jammu, Jammu, India. After being awarded the CSIR-Junior Research Fellowship, he joined Dr. Qazi Naveed’s research group at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu. His doctoral work is mainly based on “a-Carbonyl Assisted Unconventional Applications of 2-Oxoaldehydes & 2-Oxoesters and Medicinal Chemistry around Ciprofloxacin.” He completed his PhD from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), Delhi in 2019. He also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Department of Chemistry and Chemical Sciences, Central University of Jammu from 2019 to 2021. At present, he is working as an Institutional Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India. His research interest are the total synthesis of natural products, biologically active scaffolds, and development of novel synthetic transformations.
